A birthday session is a great way of celebrating a child’s birthday, whether it’s a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even a 4th birthday, it’s always great fun.

Let us capture some precious memories

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

It’s never too early to book. I am a mum of 4 children so I do limit the amount of sessions I book in for each month

what age children are these session for?

These sessions are for children from 1 year of age

WHERE DOES THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?

A cake smash session takes place in my cosy home studio in Sprowston NR7

WHO CAN COME ALONG TO A SESSION?

These sessions will be focused on your child that is celebrating their birthday, however I am happy to do a few family and sibling shots

what happens if my CHILD is A LITTLE SHY?

This is not a problem at all as your session will be very relaxed and led by your children. We can give your children a little time to settle in and get to know me before we start the shoot

CAKE SMASH & SPLASH session

A CAKE SMASH & SPLASH SESSION is split into 3 parts.

PORTRAIT ~ First part is a mini portrait session where your child can wear a lovely party outfit.

CAKE SMASH ~ Second part is the messy cake smash

TUB TIME ~ Third part is splash time in the tub.

I usually schedule a cake smash for 3-4 days before their birthday so i can prepare a few images and create a collage for you to share on their birthday. (this is optional if you do not wish to share)

how long does a cake smash session last?

Your session will last for around 90 minutes, this allows time for outfit, set up changes and taking time out if needed.

what do i need to bring along?

I have lots of cake smash outfits and decorations. 3-4 weeks before your session we will start to discuss the colours you would like and what you would like your child to wear during their cake smash.

You will need to bring along a nice outfit for the mini portrait part of the session, I do advise not to wear busy patterns / logos and try to complement your colour theme if possible.

Do i need to bring a cake?

A cake is included in the price of your cake smash session, however It is always best to provide your own if your child has any food and allergies. My cakes are provided by a lovely local lady at Julie Makes Cakes and A Slice of Something Nice.

Book a cake smash Session

birthday celebration session

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION SESSION is split into 2 parts.

Firstly; There will be a mini portrait session where your child can wear a lovely party outfit.

Secondly; There will be a birthday celebration set up which can include balloons, bunting and other party props.

These sessions are a great alternative if you don’t want a cake smash and splash but still want to celebrate the milestone of your child’s birthday

We will schedule the session 3-4 days before their birthday so i can prepare a few images and create a collage for you to share on their birthday. (this is optional if you do not wish to share on social media)
