NEWBORN SESSION

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on this special time in your life.

I am a specialist newborn photographer in Norwich Norfolk and I have had extensive training with some of the worlds leading photographers in not only photography but newborn posing and safety.

Over the years have photographed hundreds of newborn babies so you can rest assured your little one is in safe hands.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

It’s never too early to book but I do recommend that you book as soon as you’ve had your 20 week scan. I am a mum of 4 and only have limited spaces for newborn sessions available each month. Your due date will be used to secure your place in my diary, once you and baby are home we can arrange a suitable day for your session.

HOW OLD SHOULD BABY BE FOR THE SESSION?

Newborns change very fast; the perfect time for your little one’s newborn session is before they are 2-3 weeks old as they are super sleepy.

For newborn babies 3-8 weeks
Babies may be more alert at this age so the session will be more focused on relaxed posing, swaddling and awake images with hopefully some cute little smiles too.

WHERE DOES THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?

A newborn session takes place in my cosy home studio in Sprowston NR7

WHO CAN COME ALONG TO A NEWBORN SESSION?

Siblings are very welcome to come along to a premium newborn session. It’s the perfect way to show-case this special time for your growing family.

However, I do recommend they come along for the first or the last hour only so the session stays calm and relaxing for your new baby.

how long will the session last?

Your session can take up to 4 hours for a full premium session. 1 hour for a mini session.

i'm worried that my baby may do a wee or poo with no nappy on?

During parts of the session your baby will not be wearing a nappy. This is absolutely fine so please don’t worry. If they go to the toilet, it really doesn’t matter. All my blankets and props can be washed and sanitised – that goes for me too 🙂

what happens if my baby is unsettled, needs a feed or changing?

This is not a problem at all as your session will be very relaxed and led by your baby. We have plenty of time for feeding, changing, settling etc..

WHAT IS A PREMIUM NEWBORN SESSION?

During a Premium session we have the luxury of time to create many different set ups, using different props, blankets and colours. We also have time to feed and settle baby into a deep sleep to achieve all those lovely curled up and sleepy poses.

Siblings are also welcome to these sessions. Various combinations of parent, sibling & family shots are included. I will also photograph your older children on their own should time allow.

mini NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY PRICES

WHAT IS A MINI NEWBORN SESSION?

A newborn mini session is a short and sweet session to capture your baby as they are on the day, so if they are awake or asleep it’s absolutely fine.

Prior to your session you will select one colour to use throughout your shoot and I will do the rest. A small selection of setups will be ready before you arrive, with a small number of complementing headbands and hats should you wish to use them.

Your baby will be wrapped for the duration of your session. No outfits will be used.

Sibling and family shots are not included in newborn mini sessions.

The session and 5 images are included. These will be sent by download only.

You will be able to choose your images from a gallery of around 10 images.
